Memory Care Abbey Lane

Abbey Lane is our specialized memory care unit at Benedale Center. It’s set up to be a natural extension of our assisted living services to care for residents living with mild to moderate cognitive impairments.

Benedale has a special partnership with Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center, one of the leading institutions in progressive Alzheimer’s research and care.

The program encourages residents to engage in a variety of safe and creative activities specifically designed to enhance their self-esteem, minimize feelings of isolation, increase cognitive stimulation and create a sense of home. Our goal is to ensure the total well-being of each resident. Abbey Lane care providers develop close ties with family members, and these relationships help establish personalized care plans for residents, while fostering a collaborative, attentive sense of community. Expertly trained staff take personal ownership in their role of caring for persons with dementia or Alzheimer’s, providing 24-hour oversight in a safe, comfortable environment of 14 private rooms.

Priority access to Abbey Lane services is available to Villa St. Benedict residents.
